I know quite well Puglia and Matera. I'm so lucky to live in this area and I enjoy guiding travellers through this amazing region to share with them its amazing architecture, interesting history, unique nature ... and tasty food and wine.
I like to show, in a funny and professional way, the soul of the places, the way of living and thinking of local people ... in a few words the real Puglia.
Usually, my tours are scheduled, designed for small groups, focused on the highlights of the city and suitable for everyone (even families with children, people with small walking difficulties or diet restrictions) but we can arrange some customizations in order to meet in a perfect way your needs.

Tour description
An amazing walking tour though more than 2000 years of history to discover the elegant city center of Lecce with its astonishing baroque architecture, the archeological sites datig back from the roman time, its traditions and artisans (papier mache, stone carving, etc.). Aproximate itinerary: Porta Napoli (ancient gate), Via Palmieri, Duomo square, S. Irene church, Carafa Palace, S. Croce church and Celestini Palace, S. Oronzo square, roman amphitheatre, S. Chiara church, S. Matteo church, roman theatre, S. Biagio gate, back to S. Oronzo square. It's possible (but not essential) to visit the interiors of some churches (Cathedral, S. Croce, S. Matteo, S. Chiara): in that case you'll need to buy and pay a ticket at the moment.
