Tour of one of the most important Jewish quarters in the West: The Jewish Quarter of Toledo, capital of Sefarad .
Travel with our guides the history of the Toledo Jews and you will learn about the so-called " coexistence " between the three cultures that lived in its streets. Legends, secrets and location of events related to the Sephardic town of Toledo.
Approximately in the year 1284, where the Jews achieved power and wealth and from the court they put more taxes on it while King Alfonso X reigned. Once the king died, all the Jewish quarter began to decline , and we will know why.
We will visit two of its synagogues, Sinagoga de Santa Maria la Blanca and Samuel Hallevi , which are characterized by their majesty and their museums.
We will learn about the traditions and legends that resulted from the coexistence of the three cultures in Toledo in the Middle Ages , as well as the characteristic monuments of the Jewish quarter.
We will walk through Madinat al-Yahud , and they will explain to us the important role that Jews play in the " Toledo School of Translators ".
We will walk along the wall until we reach Bab al-Yahud , which is one of the gates that are still preserved , and we will see the archaeological remains of the Hebrews , where they commonly prayed, socialized and shopped.
