Essential Free walking tours of Lisbon

Fraga was our tour guide for the duration of 4 hours. I loved that he wanted to get to know the attendees, so we did a round of introduction. He has great energy and is a funny guy. My husband and I got to learn a little bit about Lisbon. Towards the end of the tour, we got a free Portuguese egg tart which was a nice touch!

Eduardo was amazing with great in depth knowledge of Portugal's history. He gave us a great overview of the most important figures in Portugal's history and how they would intertwine with all the amazing stops in Lisbon. It was thoroughly entertaining and very interesting going well beyond the other tours full of made up legends and superfluous historic explanations instead concentrating on history and facts. This is way more than a walking tour. Fernando takes you on a journey through Portugal's history. With such a level of detail and passion, not only he will give you a completely new taste of Portugal but probably also of yourself. Totally recommend.

This was an amazing tour, Lia was the best! She is funny, entertaining, patient, kind and very knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon! She also had great tips for better navigating the city during our stay and plenty recommendations for food, nightlife activities and even which ATMs to use so we don’t get ripped off by unnecessary fees! Loved everything about the tour thanks to Lia. Also do not be intimidated by the 3 hour duration, it was nicely paced with plenty of time to rest between long stretches of walking and Lia knew the tricks to avoid harsh hills.

Provided an excellent history of Lisbon. Many hidden gems and elevator rides. Extremely courteous and accommodating. So many secrets of Lisbon revealed and a special sweet treat. Would highly recommend for a great flavour of Lisbon!

Beatriz was amazing! It felt like we saw some hidden gems of Lisbon as well as important sights. Learnt a lot not only about the history but the culture too. Made me want to spend a lot more time in Portugal ☺️

Henrique was simply great!! He knows the topic extremely well, and you can ask him anything if you’re curious about Lisbon’s history. If you like history a little more than walking, this is your tour. Personally, I would have loved to sightsee a little more, but the information that Henrique gave us was priceless!
