At the indicated time we will meet in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and we will begin this free tour of Alicante Marítima, an essential tour we will discover the relationship of the city with the sea and the monuments that pay homage to the Mediterranean.
We will begin to walk along the esplanade of the port in search of the wonders of the Alicante coast. The city has a very interesting legacy linked to the sea and, to discover it, we will go back from the period of La Medina Laquant to the present day.
We will continue walking and we will discover the secrets of one of the most outstanding events that the city of Alicante celebrates, La Vuelta al mundo a Vela . Another of the highlights of the tour will be before Level 0 , marked by the monumental Icarus .
After seeing the point that marks the zero level of altitude at sea level, we will explore the Mártires de la Libertad promenade, where we will learn the details of the city's marina. Near here we will find the esplanade of Spain and the Canalejas promenade , dedicated to José Canalejas and his great work in modernizing the city.
We will continue with the visit along the Alicante promenade, stopping in front of the exhibition hall of the Fish Market , an ideal place to learn all about the history of fishing and its value for the people of Alicante.
Finally, we will pass by the Real Club de Regatas where we will finish the free tour after two and a half hours of travel.
