Hanoi free walking tour: The Vietnam War and More
Tour description
Xin Chao! I'm Nick, a guru from Hanoi. My two grandfathers were veterans, both fought in the Vietnam war. I was born and raised around a lot of VETS and stories about the war.
The Tour includes:
1. B-52 Victory Museum (apply on Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, and Sun) is located on Dien Bien Phu street. The museum covers the American B-52 campaign. In addition to numerous photos and remnants from the wars, the grounds are jam-packed with tanks, guns, and aircraft. It’s like a shoe shop for men.
2. Hoa Lo Prison – nicknamed the “Hanoi Hilton”, the prison was used to house Vietnamese political prisoners, as well as French and American prisoners of war, and offers a fascinating and chilling glimpse of prison life.
I always love history, especially the Vietnam war and it would be a great chance if I can share it with you.
FIXED COST PER PERSON: 5USD or 120k vnd (the tour guide will cover the entrance fee first so this is only for the tickets and transportations, the amount you want to pay the guide depends on your satisfaction level)
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (this tour usually range from 300k to 500k vnd depending on satisfaction with the tour).
