Let's take a free walking tour of three of the most representative museums in Colombia!
1.- Gold Museum:
National Geographic magazine highlighted it as one of the best history museums on the planet. The museum has 34,000 pieces of gold, all of unparalleled beauty and unique historical value to indigenous cultures.
2.- Museo Botero:
Botero is one of the most recognized Colombian artists and sculptors, his work is exhibited in different cities around the world. in this museum, there are 123 works by him and 85 by international artists that make up one of the most valuable collections of modern and contemporary art in the world.
3.- Museo Casa de la Moneda:
In 1620 the Casa de Moneda was founded with the purpose of coining the gold and silver that would circulate in the New Kingdom of Granada (The old name for Colombia)
The first coins of the New Kingdom of Granada were minted in this house and all Colombian coins were manufactured until 1987, when this activity began to be carried out in the Factory outside the city.
This will be a tour of about two hours, in which I will tell the meaning of the museums in Colombia, fun facts, and why these three museums are among the best in the country.
I avoid extending myself with unnecessary history, names, or dates that are difficult to remember, instead through surprising stories I tell the history of the country.
