Local Experience! - Frankfurt City & Old Town Compact with a real local - DE/ENG
Tour description
Welcome to Frankfurt!
A quick note: I will only cancel the tour if fewer than 3 people register.
The city of contrasts, extravagance, history and money.
Although Frankfurt is a relatively small major city, it offers a wide range of attractions and a lot of culture.
Our tour starts at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (easy to reach, right in the city center), takes us to the Old Opera House and through the banking district to the Roßmarkt/Goetheplatz.
From there, we head towards the Main River, past St. Paul's Church to the Römerberg, the heart of Frankfurt's old town. There, we'll find ourselves in front of Frankfurt Cathedral before crossing the Main via the Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge). On the other side of the Main, in Sachsenhausen, our tour concludes with a traditional Frankfurt apple wine (approx. 5% alcohol) by the river.
At each stop, I will tell them a little history and trivia, give them tips for other worthwhile activities, and show them photo spots.
The tour will take approximately 2 hours, with about 1 hour of actual walking.
Overview:
- Tour through the city center including the stock exchange, opera house and banking district
- Frankfurt's old town with Römer, cathedral and Paulskirche
- The end is in Sachsenhausen, one of the cultural hotspots in Frankfurt.
- 2 hours duration, 1 hour running approx.
I would be very happy if I could introduce them to Frankfurt as a local and show them that Frankfurt is an underestimated metropolis in the heart of Germany.
Important: Please contact me if you are only interested in a different time or in arranging individual group appointments. Thank you in advance!
