I am Oriol and I am a Historian from the University of Barcelona and I have previously worked for 20 years in the entertainment sector in the tourism sector in different hotels on the Spanish coast. I have recently completed a Barcelona guide course at the Catalunya Higher School of Tourism which is located in the old town of Barcelona. I am passionate about history and I am passionate about showing it in an entertaining and fun way. I am Augusto and I am a Local Guide in Barcelona from the Barcelona Higher School of Tourism. This tour is a magical way to see Barcelona. In this tour we focus on the Born neighborhood. Do you know the origin of this name? Born or Borne in Spanish, were the tips of the spears and arrows.
The neighborhood has that name because jousting and archery tournaments were often held on Paseo del Borne in times of peace in the Middle Ages, so that the inhabitants of this area were trained in times of war. But Borne is not just this story, there is another story full of legends, murders and divine miracles. This is why you cannot miss this route full of popular and not so popular history.
