She managed to get the kids interested in the history of gang by showing them the secret path at the end. And a lot of other details that were very much interesting to see and to hear. You can feel that Eve loves to share. The break happened in little India and we had some drinks and snacks. Perfect tour on a sunny day. Find it yourself!

CC is enthusiastic and well-prepared. Walking along King Street, I gained a comprehensive understanding of how the Chinese community took root in Penang—including clan associations, secret societies, and so on—something no travel guide could ever achieve. If I had gone alone, I might have only picked up some fragmented information; but CC connected all these pieces to tell a grand historical narrative. It didn’t just help me understand what the buildings I saw were, but also why they are the way they are. It sparked my deep interest in the modern history of the Chinese in Southeast Asia. Highly recommended.

The heritage walk is based on historical facts and Ang Choon Cheak (CC) is knowledgable, and continually reference with what was said before as we walk from one route to the next. CC engages with the participants, his pace is just right and we did not feel hurried. His use of historical photos and maps helps the participants to have a better understanding of the historical sites.

JS is passionate, clear and enterteiner guide tour. His 4+ hour tour was far beyond my expectations. Solid info, but not dense. He made stops for toilette, arts, street food (Samosa) religion and history of course. eve he helped me with currency exchange and some other recs for my stay in Penang. Excellent guide

Vincent is a true local of Penang with deep, seasoned knowledge of the island. He walked us through so much of the local culture, but what stuck with me most was how he shared what everyday multicultural life here actually looks like, and how different communities manage to live so harmoniously together. It gave real depth to everything we were seeing on the walk. On top of that, Vincent is genuinely funny. He kept things light with jokes throughout, which made it so much easier to stay engaged and actually absorb everything he was telling us. Highly recommend this tour if you want more than just a list of facts and dates!

We had an absolutely fantastic walking tour of George Town with JS Lim! From start to finish, JS was incredibly friendly, entertaining and full of fascinating knowledge about the city, its history and culture. What really stood out was his ability to bring everything to life through brilliant stories and interesting little details that we would have completely missed exploring on our own. He was a fantastic storyteller, made the tour feel relaxed and enjoyable, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. I thought that the tour was very informative and well planned. The route took us down many backstreet, viewing some of the lesser known attractions and some of the popular ones. The guide regularly checked in with us regarding breaks and to see that we were ok. He answered questions well and was very knowledgeable about the area. I liked that he had a microphone with earpiece so that we could hear him while we explored the temples and other attractions independently.
