Practice Spanish with Salsa! (INTERMEDIATE)
Tour description
Come join my proposal for a fun and interactive way of learning Spanish (INTERMEDIATES EDITION)
We will use Salsa music as an interactive and practical tool to practice spanish and advance on your pre-existing knowledge.
*This is not an advanced class, but it's not for begginers either*
**This is a class focused on language learning, not dancing. We might listen to music and do some salsa steps on the side**
The class will be divided into 2 sections:
SECTION 1: INTERMEDIATE LANGUAGE LEARNING
We will sit down, paper in hand, and review vocabulary and grammar like:
- Verbs: do, dance,
- Adjectives: fast, slow, hard, easy,
- Tenses: past & future
- Salsa terms: swing, tumbao, Sabor
- Salsa instruments: drums, trumpets, guitar, bell
SECTION 2: SINGING TO LEARN SPANISH
We will use salsa songs as a way of studying and understanding spanish applied in a native way.
We will review the lyrics in spanish and its translation to english.
We will sing to practice pronnunciation and vocabulary!
As a bonus for reading so far, here are the songs we will be using for section 2:
- A dormir juntitos by Liz ft. Eddy Herrera
- Cali Ají by Grupo Niche
- La noche más linda by Adalberto Santiago
- Or if you have a request, let me know in advance! I'll translate it for you
If you like learning, fun, and languages… this is for you! And for you to have your best spanish class ever… that is my goal.
** Note:
- Please bring a pen or pencil if possible, and a notebook or something flat to use as writing support.
- I will bring printed material, but you can check it out digitally here
