We had the absolute pleasure of being guided around Hanoi by Julia today, and I can’t recommend her enough. From the moment we started, she brought the city’s rich culture and complex history to life with incredible storytelling, warmth, and humor. Throughout our walk, we visited key landmarks like Ly Thai To Statue, Sword Lake, the Heritage House, Kim Ngan Temple, and even Train Street — all while weaving in fascinating insights about Vietnamese traditions, sacred animals, the concept of yin-yang and the five elements, and the country’s long and resilient path to independence. Julia has a gift for making history engaging and accessible. She answered all our questions thoughtfully and even welcomed our perspectives with genuine curiosity. You can tell she truly loves what she does and wants every guest to walk away with a deeper appreciation for Vietnam. Beyond the information, what stood out most was Julia’s kindness and joy — she made us feel not like tourists, but like welcomed friends. This tour wasn’t just informative, it was truly memorable. I had one of the best tours ever. Was very personal, really well paced, it didn’t feel too exhausting and Lisa was really easy between sharing history as well as some personal stories. I was super tired from an early train but she made it so easy for me to enjoy.

We did the street food tour with Stella and enjoyed it very much. She took us to places well-known among locals and told us a lot about the food and the country. It felt very familiar to sit and chat and share tasty food with her. We would highly recommend doing this tour.

Our guide, Stella, was great. She's very knowledgeable and she could answer all of our follow up questions. Her stories about her family with regards to the war grounded our understanding of the struggle of the Vietnamese people. We toured the war museum and hoa lu prison. Our tour experience was definitely made better because of her.

Wendy was an amazing tour guide! We had a fantastic time learning about Hanoi’s history in the Den Ngoc Son to a hidden gem for egg coffee! Hanoi is gorgeous but the tour was even better with our amazing tour guide!! I cannot recommend her enough!

The tour with Sang was a very cool experience. He showed us a few restaurants in our area and considered our needs for vegeterian food. Some of the foods he showed us are now one of our favourits. Always again!
