With this Free Tour through the Tower of Hercules you will discover the most emblematic monument of the city of A Coruña , which has the honor of being the oldest lighthouse in operation today in the world.
For almost two hours, with the help of an official guide from Galicia, you can enjoy a walk through the sculpture park that is at your feet. We will start next to the statue of Breogán, from where we will continue our tour of the more than 15 sculptures located inside the park, there you will learn about their stories and some of their legends. In turn, we will enjoy nature in all its splendor, the Atlantic Ocean and its impressive cliffs, as well as its native fauna and flora.
In the same way, you will learn some of the most surprising facts about the lighthouse , such as what monument is our Tower twinned with? Why does its name refer to Hercules? , What does the skull that is carved below in the shield of the city mean? or why is your location in this place?
After this journey through the history of the lighthouse and its sculpture park, the end of our tour will come, right at the foot of the monument.
