We are a young team that left Spain in 2009 and we are in London to create this beautiful project. At the request of our "walkers" we grew up in Paris, Dublin, Berlin, Malaga, Cordoba and Budapest, teaching these cities to thousands of Spanish speakers. We are professional guides and we are madly in love with every corner of the cities we teach.
With our Toledo Jewish Quarter Free Tour you will tour, together with a guide in Spanish , one of the most important Jewish quarters in the entire West, the one that was the capital of Sepharad .
We will immerse ourselves in the history of the Toledo Jews and learn about the so-called “ coexistence ” of the three cultures in Toledo in the Middle Ages . We will discover the most characteristic monuments of this Jewish quarter and investigate the numerous legends, secrets and locations of the different historical events that created the history of the Sephardic people of Toledo.
The story dates back to approximately the year 1284, when the Jews would achieve greater power and wealth, which caused more taxes to be imposed from the court of King Alfonso X. With this guided tour we will discover why, after the death of the monarch, the entire Jewish quarter began to decline . We will also delve into many more events that completely influence the city of Toledo.
Together with our official guide we will visit two of its synagogues: the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca and the Synagogue of Tránsito or Samuel ha-Leví , which are characterized by their majesty and the incredible and enriching museums they house inside.
We will walk through the Madinat al-Yahud and discover the important role that Jews played in the Toledo School of Translators . Later, we will walk through the streets around the wall until we reach Bab al-Yahud , one of the gates that are still preserved today. In addition, we will be able to contemplate the archaeological remains of the Hebrews , where they commonly prayed, socialized and carried out their daily lives.

If your group is more than 6 adults and you have made several separate reservations under different names, but all for the same group, you must pay €8 per adult.
If not, we will not be able to accept you on the tour and the guide may ask you to leave.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
