Acroyoga in Cali: exercise connection
Hi! My name is Juan Camilo. I am a local to Cali, Colombia. I enjoy foreigners and showing my city around. I speak 3 languages and I lived in Argentina for 5 years. Countries I've been to: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru, USA, Uruguay. As of hobbies I enjoy playing the guitar and ukulele. I love music and languages.
Tour description
Come with me and let's explore yoga + acrobatics in a way you may or may not have heard before: Acroyoga.
What is Acroyoga?
As the name says, it's a mixture of Yoga and acrobatics. Don't worry, you don't have to be an acrobatic gymnast to be able to do it. Just a minimum of physical abilty is required. The most important is you come with an open mind and willingness to learn. We will be doing very basic stuff and advancing based on your capabilities.
Acroyoga is done in couples. It's great if you come with a couple, but there's no problem if you come alone.
Usually the stronger, bigger person will do the 'base' role and the lighter person will do the 'flying' role. The base lays down flat on his/her back, legs towards the sky, and will hold the flyer on top of them with his/her legs and hands. It's an activity of strong connection and confidence: great for couples or just a laugh.
To get a better idea, you can watch this video. Just remember, we will only do the basics and advance only as you feel comfortable: https://youtu.be/xECiTdgy9nE
Who can do it?
Anybody can do it. Both men and women can base or fly. If it's interesting to you, don't let fear win, come and try it out.
How do I get there?
Although peaceful and safe, this is not a very touristic part of town. You will probably have to take a taxi/uber to get to the park.
Enjoy a fun way of exercising and bonding in a typical Cali neighborhood park.

Let's meet at my neighborhood park. It's a peaceful, residential, safe area. It's not touristy so you will probably have to take a taxi to get here.
How much does this tour cost?
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
