We are The Wind Walkers — a local walking tour team inspired by the soul of Baku: where the wind never rests, and every stone has a story. Led by passionate locals, we offer immersive city walks that connect you with the architecture, legends, and lived energy of Azerbaijan’s capital. From hidden corners of the Old City to breathtaking views from Highland Park, our tours are more than sightseeing — they’re storytelling on foot. We walk with you like friends, not only as guides. We believe the best way to discover Baku is slowly, with fresh air in your lungs, history under your feet, and the skyline always shifting above you. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, we invite you to explore Baku with us — at the pace of the wind.

Tour description

Step into the heart of Baku, where the wind, stone, and stories blend into one unforgettable walk. Your journey begins in the Old City, exploring its ancient walls, palace courtyards, artisan workshops, charming squares, and iconic gates. Discover hidden corners like the Cats’ House, historic caravanserais, and the beautiful Shirvanshah Palace complex before stepping into the calm Philharmonic Garden nearby.

Continue by funicular to Highland Park for Baku’s most stunning panoramic view, then walk through the Alley of Martyrs, the Eternal Fire Memorial, and the peaceful Martyrs’ Mosque while admiring the soaring Flame Towers above the city.

Descending from the hill, wander through Mini Venice, pass the unique Carpet Museum, and follow the lively Baku Boulevard along the Caspian Sea. The route leads you through Fountain Square and down vibrant Nizami Street, where cafés and street life create the city’s energetic rhythm. Your tour ends at Molokan Garden, a quiet, leafy oasis in the center.

Along the way, you can enjoy street-food tasting, a short wine-tasting stop, or dress in Azerbaijani national costumes for memorable photos, giving you a full cultural and sensory experience. By the end, you’ll have explored Baku’s essential sights and begun to feel the city like a local.
