Tour description
If you are a nature lover, you cannot miss this tour of one of the most famous gardens in Buenos Aires. The Botanical Garden was designed by the French landscape architect Carlos Thays in 1898. It is a green space of 7 hectares -in the middle of the city-, with a great variety of native vegetation and from different parts of the planet that were acclimatized for their survival in the city. It is divided into 3 thematic gardens: the French Garden, the Roman Garden and the Oriental Garden. It also has 5 greenhouses. The largest is in Art Nouveau style and was awarded at the Paris Exhibition in 1900. Enjoy its fall colors, its water mirrors with flowers and its gardens with butterflies, full of color. I discovered the numerous sculptures that hide among the vegetation, such as the Ondina del Plata, the work of the Argentine sculptor Lucio Correa Morales. Our tour of the Botanical Garden is especially botanical oriented. In this way, in addition to touring the garden, you will know the species that compose it and then identify them in the main avenues of Buenos Aires.
