About the Tour

Welcome to the Mysterious Venice: Cannaregio and the Jewish Ghetto tour!

We take you to the unknown part of Venice, where tourists don't go and where the mystery, beauty and fascination that make this city fall in love is enclosed.
We tour the fascinating neighborhood of Cannaregio and the Fondamenta de la Misericordia with its hundreds of authentic restaurants and bars by the water. We will visit the Church of the Jesuits, the Campo dei Mori, the Palace of the Camel with its legend, the Church of the Madonna del Orto.
Cannaregio is the most authentic neighborhood in the city and where the Venetians still live. We show you the life of the last Venetians who resisted in their beloved city doing fascinating things until they reached the Jewish Ghetto: the Jewish Quarter where the word ghetto was invented and the oldest ghetto in the world.
We will see the koshcer restaurants, the Jewish bookstores and the kosher stores, with the possibility of visiting its five synagogues, the Hebrew Museum and the Banco Rosso , the oldest in the world.

At the end you can relax with an aperitif , a wine or a meal in the best place in Venice to do it: the Fondamenta da Misericordia. We promise that this tour will be your most beautiful memory of Venice.

How to find me: We meet in front of the Church of the Gesuitas in the Plaza de los Gesuitas, very close to the Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop that takes you to the islands. You will recognize me because I will be carrying a pink umbrella and my official tour guide accreditation.

It has been a fantastic experience. David has been a versatile and entertaining guide and has taken into account at all times that the group was in the shade and with sources to supply water. His latest advice on where the locals eat, a success (verified). I would repeat the experience without a doubt!
